MONDAY MINISTRY
Each Monday a group from our congregation goes to Pennypack Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center to have a worship service. This has been going on for about two years now ever since the Pastor visited one of our members who is a resident there. She asked why there couldn't be a Bible Fellowship service in the Center. Pastor thought there might be some regulation against it, but the Activities Director thought that was a great idea. And so it began.
We have missed very few weeks with either the Pastor or Elder Joe giving the message. Pastor has introduced the singing of a hymn at the beginning of the service which has been very well recieved. Especially since he has a great singing voice and can carry a tune without a musical instrument being present.
The group varies in size from 3 or 4 to as many as 10 people participating.
Please pray for these men and women in the Center. Their care varies in intensity. Pray also for the people who take care of them each day. It is not an easy job. We are so glad we have come to know and love these people.
Below is a picture taken today of Pastor giving the message. Of course the people are not shown because we want to give them their privacy.
