Hello and welcome to the blogsite for Wissinoming Bible Fellowship Church.  We are a congregation of the Bible Fellowship Church denomination and are located in the northeast section of Philadelphia, PA.

 This congregation was established in November of 1922 and located on VanKirk Street in the Wissinoming neighborhood.  That means we are approaching our 100th anniversary of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ here in this spot.

 What is the Bible Fellowship Denomination?  The logo says it best.
Our goal is to make disciples of Jesus Christ.  Because of this:

  • We believe that all people are born sinners, with sin natures that render them worthy of eternal condemnation. By grace alone through faith alone, those who believe receive forgiveness of sin based on Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection.
  • We practice believers’ baptism by immersion.
  • We hold to a premillennial view of Jesus Christ’s earthly return and reign.

The weekly services of Wissinoming Bible Fellowship Church include:
Growing Together
Sunday morning 9:45 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Enjoying our coffee and the Lord's Word together as we learn and share.

Community Worship
Sunday morning 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
An enriching time of praise through a mix of contemporary songs and classic hymns.  We worship through prayer and the hearing of God's Word.

Ladies Bible Study
Tuesday morning 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
(March - November)
Join with other ladies from the community for a time of fellowship and study of God's Word together.

Prayer and Bible Study
Wednesday evening, 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
We study through the Bible one book at a time.  This is a safe place to share, ask questions, learn and pray in a supportive atmosphere.

    Hi, I attended a Bible Fellowship church for many years. I live in Bethlehem, PA. I currently go to Ebenezer New Reformed church because it is 5 minutes from my house. I sure do miss the ladies bible study!

    Our ladies bible study is really good. We share the verses and our thoughts on how we can apply them to our life. Win-win!

HOMECOMING SUNDAY -- NOVEMBER 3, 2019

The first Sunday of every November is Homecoming Sunday.  It is the anniversary of the founding of our congregation.  This year we celebrated 97 years. There was quite a crowd at Coffee and Learning, the group that meets for Bible Study before the morning service. We were having a lunch after the morning service and so all the tables were decorated with either pumpkins or acorns and fall leaves. In the sanctuary each windowsill had live flowers donated to us by the Hatfield Tuesday Dinner group.  They are the group that gave us new landscaping in front of the church.  We were told we could each take one home and use it as a reminder to pray for the church.
